Why not run the complete bath unit alongside the main pool ... a whole al fresco spa suite.

The bath didn't sell so I now have a whirlpool bath with a big pump  8)

I've been thinking how it could be adapted for use with the hot tub for the BBB, I'll have to have a good spy on it when I get chance, if not I have a big pump to add to my collection.

Pumps to play with, fire, and a hot tub, sounds like bliss :)

Why wash 'em away when you can burn them for energy in the engine? :D

added to my watch list.

my ml did somthing odd today - punctured inlet pipe, so did not prime.  left running too long, and then, when i realised, smoke and bad smell from the stator area.

Might be ok, might have generated too much frictional heat.

I've seen Monos where the stator has overheated ... it's one of the few ways you can damage them!

The surface will look a little like elephant skin if it's over heated.  The rotor should be OK but may have bits of burnt Nitrile stuck to it, but it'll clean off just don't damage the surface,

Easy job to pop the cover off and have a look,  Some photos for the wiki would be good for when we can upload again.

That's not that big, at work we recently replaced the pump on a Fire Suppression System, rated for 1200lpm at 16bar,
It's a 3ph multistage, about 3.5m long, cost around 7k.
Should have taken some photos for you guys.
