I've set up a snipe.

Nigel they are strong self primers, and move thick liquids like WVO as if they're water, don't care about lumps and are quiet.

Still at 99p with 5hrs to go...looks like a trip out to Birmingham for me ;)

What's so special about these mono's guys?

Beat me to it Tony, but I'll post my thoughts ...

Very sturdy design, self priming, will pump sludge, just about positive displacement, don't stir up what they pump too badly and are usually low maintenance although I've recently had quite a lot of trouble with my mechanical seal.

These MS pumps are quite low flow, around 17 ltrs/min, but still very good at what they do.

I can see the advantages of having such a pump. I hope you get them for a good price.

I await, with anticipation, the details of collection and the price you get them for.

Thanks Nige. Wouldn't be possible without you and even if we don't win, that's much appreciated.

Following Julian's PM, and given the unknown state of the pumps "spares or repair" (might be seized/damaged despite what he says - they've clearly been left outside in the rain) and having shown our hand at how much we were willing to bid in the thread here, I've changed the snipe amount.

Nige that looks like a jet pump, it'll have PPO innards which will be OK for shifting veg/bio until the ejector bit softens and shears off.  Best avoided I'm afraid.

I was referring to this one ... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=271214160549&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1123#ht_177wt_1066

If not I may have a bash at that if the seller will pack for courier.  Still no bids with two days to go.
