Already on it Julian.

And I just got my e-mail.  They must run the searches at different times.

I'll bear that in mind when one gets listed between your search running and my search running ;)

Didn't get the one local to me.  He never replied for my request for a model number, so I sniped £28 as a punt and it went for £29.

I have no idea what that is off, but I think it would lend itself to making one of those industrial style lamps. Look beautiful all polished up and bolted to the wall, with a bulb on a flexible tube. I love brass.
I might even keep an eye on it, and buy it for myself as a xmas present.

Would you believe it, if you want an old brass 4 bar pressure gauge for a pump, now you have to compete with the steampunker's wanting to buy them for decoration!

Wouldn't surprise me at all. The quality of the brass is so much better in the older stuff. The depth of the shine on it is better when its polished up, and it tarnishes a lot nicer. I've got some lovely old Horse brasses. and you can really see the quality in them, even compared to a 20 year old ornament I've got.
My Grandmother worked in a Coal and Brass shop, so I've got a bit of a passion for the stuff.

I've suddenly got the urge to go and polish my Brass lizard. Ooer :o
