Brass impeller (closed type) 120 lpm - nuff said :)

Helppppp, without knowing what the options are I'm totally in the dark. Only ever taken one pump apart and it's the 80lpm bought from James rl years ago, from memory that was brass impeller closed type and it still works (pensioned off due to upgrade)

Pedrollo pumps are Italian, a reasonably well know and respected manufaturer. The vendor is one of our own members, don't know if you remember Chantra.

Thanks Tony, so the Pedrollo pumps on Ebay are as good as you can get for a processor if you want a 120 lpm pump.

It should be OK, though I'd have to add the caveat that I'm not convinced on Pedrollo pumps reaching their stated flow rate on hot veg/bio.  I've got one on my processor at the moment to free up the multistagers and it's not getting the 80lpm it claims on the label - I'd say from timing filling the settle drum about 50lpm tops.

I think that may be the nature of the beast, the 110 lpm of mine seems to suffer flow rate too with hot Bio.

I think due to design, centrifugal pumps will suffer with hot meth laden bio,
they produce low pressure in the center of the impeller, this low pressure will promote cavitation and reduce flow rates.

Cavitation is when due to a combination of heat and low pressure the liquid turns to a gas.

Don't believe what, that it's his pump or that he has/had a friend?

The nearest he'll ever get to friend is his Teddy Bear.
