If you connect a centrifugal pump's discharge to the inlet with appropriate valves, you can persuade them to self prime. Although you need a bit of fluid in it to begin with.

I do this with a TAM105 and while it can take a little while to get it going, it's reliable at priming.

vendor offered a replacement or refund. no hassles and very nice to deal with.

as i have lost time and confidence in the pump, i opted for the refund.

whilst the macerator looks good, i need something tried and tested.

either

looks like the pump breaking ended up doing you a favour and getting a decent pump for the same money, result!

hope so.

i had problems with my diaphragm pump on the car too.

after three years of constant use it started leaking, so i ordered one from a uk seller at about £10 over chinese rates as i needed it there and then.

in winter, it stops the fuel vaporizing in the FPHE, and moves any bubbles that do form back to the tank asap.

i specifically ordered one with hose tails on, but the vendor sent the wrong connections on.

when i contacted him he refunded it and said to just chuck the other one in the bin.

took me an hour to click that it was exactly the same as my old one internally.....

im sick of pumps.

Ged, have a look at RM's scrapyard thread ... small Mono MS.  Not a massive through put, but if it's working it'll be far better than any of the others you've tried.
