There's quite a bit on them on the wiki. Manuals for the MS, MM and ML range are in the manuals section and there's a "botch it for free" mechanical seal renovation on an MS which has a separate page.
They are built like brick toilet blocks. None of them shift vast quantities of fluid, but they are self priming, will create high pressures and will pump pretty much any thing you can throw at them. Two golden rules ... never let them run dry (not too much of a problem when running oil) and never run them against a closed head, especially the MS.
You can buy Viton stators for them, but the standard Nitrile stators seem fine for WVO and glycerin.
And yes, 200 quid is very cheap for a new one!
