Titrated acid wash page

Of an emulsion formed at the bottom of my wash barrel.  Might be of some use on the Acid wash page to show what we're trying to avoid.

I've added it to the water washing page and it should come in useful when the "Emulsions" page gets written.

Is that emulsion or HMPE's Julian? just looking at the residue around the sides also.

I would say Hmpe's, I get the same now the temp is dropping, I will gladly stand corrected if i'm wrong though. Hoping that the acid wash method is going to cure my Bio of this.

Looking at your description on the Wiki page it would seem I am going to be wrong !

Thanks for the positive comments. I am off to help JulianF with some building work shortly and wont be back till tomorrow when I will try to do some more.

I intend to put two worked examples on there - Keiths using Vinegar and mine using H2SO4.

Great wright up mate, I did spot a couple of spelling mistakes but I'm a fine one to talk.

This bit doesn't read quite right to me,
"An indicator needs to be used which will clearly show and basic to acidic change around the neutral point. A suitable indicator which works very well is BromoThymol Blue, the colours of which are shown on the right in acidic (yellow), neutral (green) and basic (blue) conditions. "

surly it should read "clearly show the bass to acidic change", or is it "alkali to acidic" I'm not sure which is best.
I know it's only knit picking but it would be nice to get it reading right.
