I know the subject has been discussed several times but I haven't seen anyone produce one yet.

I know it probably won't take the sort of temperatures we use, but I'm sure the design could be adapted.

A standard 1/4 turn ball valve could be adapted with gear quadrant and worm
and two micro switches for travel limit.

I swa the ac bloke at work messing about with something similar, might get the worn one off him for experimentation.

I like that idea, possibly could do away with the microswitches if you can detect the stall current (like car windows do).

I always intended to use an electric mechanism from a car door lock on a ball valve. No need to detect current then, just pulse in one direction or the other.
