Just had thought ... when the pool is first filled if several hose pipes can be connected together and laid out in the sun, en-route to the pool, and the water run in slowly, it may give it a few degrees head start.

Or the same thing running in and out of the pool driven by a pump would help a little.

Should I get it?

Mark save ya money, but thanks for the offer, I have several old ladders of various descriptions so I'm sure we can make one from them.

Big thanks to Julian for going well out of his way to collect/deliver and front the money for the pool, my £10 is waiting for you.

I have just over 20L of veg/engine oil/miss fuel ready for pool fuel.

I spoke to Carl (etz250) today and he'll be joining us from Friday.

I dug out the silver bubble wrap today, there's not as much as I thought but I'll bring it along anyway.

Who's made it there so far, are we missing much ?

Yes Julian definitely deserves some thanks for that!

Chug rightly points out that a hot pool in a heatwave might not be as pleasant as a cool pool.

I would just add that a hot pool on a cool evening in the dark is something glorious too. :D

Turn the heat up a couple of hours before the sun goes down, that should be the best of both worlds.

Nice one!  If our calculations are right though then we shouldn't need anywhere near that much, but best to have too much rather than too little :)

4 pm yesterday our 10' inflatable pool was 24'c. Eldest daughter was straight in it from school then was dragged out at 8pm for a shower n bed. They both keep asking if chugs got a hot tub but I told them it got crushed so no. Can't wait to see their faces when they think they've not got their cosies packed.
