Right.  I have the M67/drum/heat exchanger/pipe/pump heating solution and that is coming with me regardless, and if no-one has any other construction solution, I'll be bringing a pick axe and a spade and everyone will be taking turns at the backbreaking work of hole excavation.  Don't want to be letting Lynda down!

Chug do you have pallets on site that we can cut in half, stand on end and loading strap together to avoid digging too deep?

Those quick set pools (the ones with the inflatable ring around the top) are rubbish. I had one and it didn't last more than a couple of weeks. Some air leaked out of the ring and that is the only thing that holds up the pool. The next thing was a loud woosh as 3000 litres of chlorinated water rushed off down the garden.
That was with very light use and cold water.

We then got a steel framed 10' X 30" pool. That is 1000 times better. It lasted all last season and we have just put it up again now and it's still perfect.
I have that one heated and last year the water got to 40C one day (faulty thermostat).
You can buy them from Amazon for £90 or therabouts for the 10' one.
They also do 12', 15' and 18' diameters and depths up to 48"

do you mean one like this ?

that's 12ft by 30inches

(looks to me like the people are photoshopped in to make the pool look bigger than it really is ?)

Put me down for a tenner.

Probably benefit from a couple of layers of old carpet underneath.

Just re-read the thread, I think this was it, though it is pretty funny  ;D

If I can be of any help let me know but as to how I can help I have no idea .

It would be an immense help if you just keep well out of every bodies way.

Shh, you'll give the game away about the secret hot-tub-avoiding society,  how chunder of all people got to hear about it I'll never know, he'll be telling us he knows the secret oily handshake next!

Who's arriving at the BBB when then?  I'm coming down either late Wednesday or early Thursday.  I've got a list of stuff to bring and it's going to take some time to pack and unpack, I'm beginning to doubt I'll have room for the 3D printer, anyone bringing one we can ad-hoc parts up with?

Stick me down for £10

Five more people and it's paid for.

The best thing is it can be left up for Chug and Linda to use for the rest of the summer.

Tony, the one you linked to is only 10ft, but that's going to be easier to heat and less water for chug's meter.

I have some of the silver bubble wrap, hopefully enough for a single layer around the outside.
