Not so fast, we need a sacrificial womble to "ride the cannon".

body parts will be fine down here. give the cats and foxes  a change of diet. rabbits and rats gets a bit boring after awhile.

Breaking news: Lynda says it's OK so long as we have a litter picker and don't mess up the field (presumably referring to scattered litter and/or body parts).

We have our own Womble to clear up, that'll keep the little scrote out of our hair for a few hours.

If Tony has his way it'll be you lot clearing the Womble up, not the Womble clearing up after you lot.

Ps. I have a TV at my place, just need to get it to Chug before Thursday

Meeting Chug tomorrow, I'll also give him the bits you sent me ( - the FPR's as I couldn't find them in the dark).

I like those flying drums in Bob's you tube link, but would probably ending flattening someone with the limited space I have, but I might have to do one when nobody else is around!

Anyway I think a cannon is possible if aimed carefully!
does it work, does it need much prep, or can we knock it up easily as long as we have a dustbin?

I think you just drop some calcium carbide in a pot of water at the bottom of a bin with an 'ole in, and hold a flame to the hole to light the resulting acetylene.

Launching heavy things probably not wise given the people and cars about, but it would be cool to get a decent BOOM :)

These guys seem to have made a party of it!

I have some carbide here. I'll make sure it comes down with me on the Friday night. Maybe have a trial run on Friday before the day visitors arrive on Saturday.

I've got a small supply of Calcium Hydride as well if anybody wants to try some hyrogen experiments!

that looks a lot safer, well a bit anyway. would love to do that down here, but the last time someone had a private firework display at a wedding down here the explosions set off the  lifeboat alert and my mate who i was visiting at the time was out the door and in his car  before he realised what it was. not a popular thing to do around here. marrons and homemade explosions don't mix this close to the sea.

Is there really one of these down your way? I need some stainless tubing, 3", 4" and may be some 5"& 6". Half a meter or a meter if they have some. If you see any let me know.

Cheers
