Goldenray machines

Hi everyone I am a newbie on here and need your help.

I have a goldenray machine and I need some spares.

Cannot get them from goldenray as I think they are no longer in business.

Need filters and heater element.

It seems unlikely the parts are specific to GoldenRay machines. Is there not a manufactures name and model number on the parts, so you can find them online, or at another supplier?

Well the heater element should be easy to identify, there must be some manufactures markings on it.
If the worst happens, it wouldn't be too difficult to pull the whole filter housing off and fit another one with easily available elements.

I'm glad they've gone bust, at least they can sell anymore of those death traps.

If you can't get the parts in your neck of the woods I'll get them over here, bring them over and fit them for you. All you need to do is book me on a return flight, leaving London sometime about the middle of January, and coming back a fortnight later. I'll need transport and a few nights accommodation.
I'll want to be paid parts and labour, and fed.

I don't know if I'll be able too manage it all by myself, so I'll need to bring two beautiful assistants, but might cope with two munters off this forum. I'll put the trip to auction.

Hi and welcome to the wiki and forum.

Is you processor like this?




If so, it looks to be a standard immersion heater, commonly available in the UK.  If you can measure the OD of the thread it should be 65.7mm and check the length of the element.  Assuming you have a 220v electrical supply in Greece, a standard heater from the UK will be fine.

Confirm the above, let us know and we can point you at a website from which to buy (unless you are happy to sponsor a mad Welshman on a two week holiday).

With the filter, I suspect the arrangement is to pump "finished" bio direct from the processor to the car.  If this is the case, it would be a very strong recommendation to up grade the system and install a settling tank and possibly dry wash tower as a minimum.  It will improve the quality of you bio dramatically and be far kinder to your car.

I've got a Golden Ray machine.

I think the heater element is the same as used in any electric hot water tank. Definitely not a GR only thing.

Mine is the middle photo.

The element is a 2.75kw but it's a short curled element.
