pump leaking
«

after using my processor for about a month the pump is leaking when I turn it on to circulate bio. it looks like its coming out of a little hole.
It leaks only a little. I put a bucket under to collect and is pumping most of the liquid around. I had some solid jelly type koh in the bottom of processor after last batch so I put a litre or 2 of methanol in the processor then drained it off.

Sounds like the shaft seal has failed. What pump is it?

an unknown pump, with an unknown fault?
can it be repaired, and will it get worse?
best guess - unknown.

In this case your best bet is to have it apart to see which seal is leaking and replace it.

A photo of said pump, with a closeup of the leaking bit would enable us to diagnose it properly...
