One of my collections is crazy - its like they're in a frenzy - they dont even break the seal on the red cap, but, instead, just hack a hole in the top of the tin. Id never get it home without a load of cling film!
I also do it so as i can store tins outside (in the rain).
It works really well, but makes the handle awkward.
Another top clingfilm tip -
Put two layers over the top of a paint tin before putting the lid back on. I didnt think of that one, nor have i ever used it, but it seems like a good idea!
