Crazy Portuguese
« on: December 16, 2012, 03:32:41 PM »
Just spent 4day's over in Portugal teaching someone how to make bio.
When I got there I was met by a few home brewers and the guy I went to teach , all standing round a new 500L machine full of crap wet oil and soap. These guys had had a go before I got there and felt really pleased that they had made really good bio.
The way they test it is to do a 50/50 test and if the water phase is resly white and soapy then it's a pass , then they water wash and use. I did ask how they dry the bio but was told this is not something they do.
I think I have a lot of work to do over the next few months
They did think I was crazy when I told them I would convert oil for them that titrated at 85 but after 3days and some good bio I think they will trust me

What a week

I really hope you mean 8.5 not 85!

If it was 85 we need a podium and a solid gold award for you!

I'm impressed.  Let me guess ... acid was involved somewhere.

That's me always doing acid
When I finally get round to test my new procedure on wvo that titrate's around the 10 mark I will put up a wiki page but I just need to try some more things before I do. Just so I know that it will be accurate and easy
