Meth to split?
« on: April 12, 2021, 10:19:36 AM »
I have enough meth to last me 2 more batches and then I will need to buy some more.
As the price for an IBC is currently £580+courier so Approx 65ppl vs 2 barrels £270 +courier so approx 83ppl litre I will probably go for an IBC again.
I would keep it in the IBC, but if someone was interested in splitting some I would decant into 5 blue barrels at cost (approx £130/barrel)

I'm in the south wales area m4 corridor if anyone is interested. If you know anywhere I could get some cheaper I would love to hear from you - I can collect.

Have a nice day all  :)

Are you sure about the Sidwill price. On ebay they are currently offering an ibc for £640 plus carraige.

There seems to be a recent massive price increase for methanol. I've just refused to pay the new price from my local supplier. They wanted another £350 extra from what I was paying for 1200 litres.

Nigelb hows the price at Chempac.

Might be worth giving Barrettine in Bristol a shout, I'm an account holder there; not only are they super friendly to domestic customers but the prices are reasonable and free delivery on orders over £300.  So I usually get 4x drums on a pallet with some KOH and split with someone else (though no biggie if I have to keep all four it's never happened - always someone else needing some)!

As you are an account holder, could you ask them how much it would be for 4 drums + bag OF KOH or an IBC + a bag?

Might be worth a comparison.

THanks  :)

if you add the delivery price to the £155 that Sidwill are advertising a 205 drum at it works out at about £1.05 per litre.

Problem is ADR courier rules, any professional chemical supplier won't let you drive off with an IBC, at most you'd be allowed to pack down to smaller containers to the 333 litre limit.

Not yet, if I'm a bit slow it's because I'm about to start a new job and things are a bit hectic at the moment!
