ASM/Sodium for 2nd Stage.
« on: December 20, 2019, 01:08:57 PM »
I remember Glycerides mentioning a while ago that he does this. I usually water wash and do my version of the 5% prewash. However for various reasons I sometimes bubble and settle before woodchipping.

I've noticed if I use ASM for the small second stage the soaps fall a lot quicker, in fact at the point where the soap is around 7 to 800ppm using Potassium, using ASM the level is more like 250ppm.

There is no fear of solid glycerol doing this as even after leaving S1 overnight there is enough potassium glycerol still suspended in the mix.

I know I've just posted about this but seeing as its Christmas I thought I would give it a second go.
