Don't use the Trinity 97% min methanol for dropout tests.

I realise on forums we are pretty well educated as regards basic do's and do nots. However a situation occurred with a fellow brewer a couple of days ago who is not on any forums.

He had been using the Trinity 97% min methanol for his reactions and thought he would use the same methanol for his dropout tests. He had about 1ml dropout after S1 and mixed up some more methoxide for his next stage. After S2 the dropout was 2.9mls. He thought this was a bit strange but carried on adding methoxide.

After S4! where the dropout was still over 1ml he gave me a ring and I explained not to use the methanol for 10/90's. I also explained how to recover a jelly batch which I am pleased to say he managed to do.
