Thanks for sharing your link. I've looked it, but can't really see what you are aiming to achieve with the page. Is it a commercial venture?

I tend to agree with what Julian says, what exactly are you trying to achieve?
Knowing all about the different biofuels engines can run on is all well and good, but doesn't add up to much if you still getting fuel from the pump.

Well, it's all to do with the FFA in the oil. When we make biodiesel we need to know the FFA (that's Free Fatty Acid) level in order ....

Presumably oil it titrated and checked for water commercially before payment is made on an oil consignment. I bet high titrating oil fetches less than low titrating oil.

I'm with Jim, I suspect many homebrewers doing two stage one way or another don't titrate - that said it's useful when you're starting out to get a feel for the FFA level of the oil that's coming in.

No we don't, thats the beauty of the Titless method, the clue is in the name.

Same as sex really ... I tried it once and didn't like it.

More buggering about than it's worth in my books.

Its got a major flaw in that a 3/27 takes time to give a true reading. I can do several titrations while waiting for a 3/27 and I start out knowing the exact quality of the oil I'm using.

Mmmmmmmmmm! But I don't make soap or get fecked batches, I did have one poor batch in the very very very early days of brewing.

I'm either VERY lucky or I have a rough idea like of what I's dooin, yeh.

I've never titrated, I had a problem when I started trying to measure dropout with out a proper flask but other than that my problems have been when I've been too lazy o make sure the oils dry

I'm with the dazzmeister, you can get away with all sorts with nice dry oil. Water is evil.
