Have I done it right??
« on: October 01, 2011, 12:39:18 AM »
OK, I've been playing (well Julian told me to) and I've added a couple of manuals in the Styilong YL-6E section that Julian was having trouble with.

Can someone check that it's about right and I haven't started a '5 days to total destruction' type of scenario. :-\

This is very different from changing your own website where the only person you can cheese off is yourself.

So tell me how it is that during your first 24hrs on here you can get a pdf to come up when I couldn't?  To date I must have spent several hours redoing the dammed thing in a graphics package, now to no avail .... well done, love to know how you did it!

I think the gif file with the specifications needs to be bigger ... is that some thing you can do?

The phrase "duck to water" springs to mind.

Ok, stat that, just noticed it up sizes once it's on it's own page.  Note to self, pay more attention before posting.

Now, Keith.  There's another problem you could address.  Tony has put together several calculators, but we need to find a way of embedding them in the wiki pages without compromising the wiki security ... should only take you a half an hour or so at your current rate of progress.

You can put that one down to beginners luck. If you check the log you'll see that it took quite a few attempts before I even worked out how to get it on the page. It is still a bit tempremental on my pc, sometimes it loads instantly and sometimes it hangs part way through and I have to f5 it to get it moving again so don't chuck your work away yet.

I don't even know what you're talking about ..... so I'm afraid that will take at least 24 hours.

Can you not host them outside the wiki and link to them? or work something similar to the way google calendar works with websites? I'm probably talking rubbish, but if you don't ask.

The calculators are here:

Unfortuantely they are javascript based and to include them in the wiki would be a major security violation.  Could link them though.
