What's the best way to de-water?

Is it with the venturi going full tilt or using a diffuser?

My personal preference is a diffuser.

I find it quicker, I dry at 70c so with a 30min settling period after drying the temperature is just right to go straight into the first stage of conversion.

As I use a separate drying tank the settling period allows BCBs to sink before transfer, the temperature I don't worry about, I'll add methoxide anywhere between 60 and 80c.

I also add the metoxide between 60 and 75c and have been wandering if 75c was to hot as the methanol might start to evaporate out of the mixture? I realise that any that does evaporate would condense and fall back in but it never hurts to ask.

If you have a condenser and sealed vapour system, as you should have on a GL, you might get as much as an eggcup full condense out so don't worry.
