And leds inside the reducer, rather than the bulb.

If they want a bulb hanging out, they may as well have a novel bulb with the filament on display.

One day, when i no longer live in a building site, i would like to build a nixie clock -



Id make it out of some big old lump of 'stuff' (rough bit of concrete / steel / bif of old wood [if it would take the heat]) and mill the holes through it for the nixies.

To think I threw out an old nixie tube powered frequency counter a few years back - if I'd known I'd at least kept the tubes.  Ah well.

If it becomes mainstream I bet the Chinese will start manufacturing nixie tubes...
