Dry Wash tower alternative
« on: January 30, 2023, 05:14:14 PM »
Hello folks.

Has anybody ever used/considered using a water softener type tower for drying their bio? Pros/cons?
Something like this:
https://www.devecchigaetano.com/products/manual-water-softeners/36-lt-model

Largest is 20L, which apparently holds about 14L of media.
Seems to be a few cheap used ones kicking about on facebook marketplace for £20-50.

Thanks

Best to probably avoid wash towers, they can be a buggar to change the media in. You also need a pump etc.

Simple is best, the pour through alternative works well.

14 litres of media aint going to work well with the batch sizes you are planning!
