Thought I'd post this up. Only two people on this forum have knowledge of what happened a couple of weeks ago. Most on here know of me and my circumstancies.
For those that know of me and dont know...my wife died 7yrs ago of cancer. I met my current partner 6yrs ago.
A week last Saturday I asked her to marry me while on a long weekend in Cartmel in the lake district.
She said yes!
We get married next summer in Cartmel.
We are so happy.

Chris...you and Moy have a special place in my heart. The support you gave me on the day of her funeral will never be forgotten.

Of course she said yes....I'm a bit of a catch. And a keeper..apparantly😁

Took me 6 yrs. The sale of both our houses and the purchase of a money pit to turn a fugly house into a lovely home....and you did it one night. Awesome.

Not everyone gets a second chance in love (yes I've used that word in a very male dominated forum), but you deserve that chance.

I could see the hurt you were suffering 7 years ago, even though you tried to hide it, make the most of this chance mate.

To be honest Mark...it still hurts now. A week on Sunday ..the 10th....would have been our 34th anniversary.

I feel very lucky to have found someone who has so many of Jaynes qualities.
