XUD cylinder heads
« on: August 21, 2021, 10:42:37 AM »
I'm having a clear out. Is there any demand for XUD cylinder heads? Or are all the old Citroen and Peugeot Log burners pretty well finished now?  I have four with cams caps and so forth . I can't remember which ones  need a skim or which were from perfectly running engines , so make  the assumption that the head would need a light skim , or checking at least. I don't want much for them , but seems a shame to bin them if there is  any demand?????

Hi Steve, If you get to the point where you're gonna bin them, my son would probably be interested in one as a spare for his XUD/Ford Capri conversion.
Distance would be a problem but he would pay to have one posted
Let me know  ;)

I've often thought about dropping a diesel into an old classic, but an XUD in a Capri is sacrilege.

Had similar ideas myself, cheap runabout on veg.  Have you seen the price of "old classics" though.  Any old rusty junk usually ends up on evilbay as a "barn find" with outrageous prices.

Wow that's a real labour of love.  How do people find the time for projects like that?

It's almost finished, sad and exciting both at the same time.

It was good to hear that his great work on this project was appreciated and the car was sold 'appropriately'.
