Filtering systems.
« on: September 27, 2020, 08:14:23 PM »
I spent most of
yesterday filtering oil. Not for me but my good friend Richardp. I owe him 300lts of oil that I didnt have 8 months ago when I was due to leave my home.

I know I have a good forum ethos but so have so many  others.  I dedicate this thread to those who help others without a thought for those they are about to help.

Thank you to those out there. You know who you are. So do I.

Mate, it's called Karma cos you know how much you have helped me many a time. As you said, it's a great thing about the veg/bio people.

That's the nice thing about this community, always happy to help each other out.

I was glad recently to give a load of filtered veg oil to the chap that transported my petrol leaf blower down from further north years ago.  Took a while, but what goes around comes around.

And I can honestly say that in my family's darkest hours, the kindness of people here and on VOD proved an immeasurable support at a time when it was hard to see any good in the world.

I have to agree with all the comments above, I've never met such a diverse group of people who are willing to go out of their way to help anyone in their hour of need bio related or not.

Long live the Bio Buddies.

Yes I'm still here.

If you have a leak, either fix it or don't bother if it's a small one.

IIRC, you've mentioned this many times before on VOD.
Anyone who can make bio can fix or ignore a leak.

But don't get someone to fix it that would charge you too much, in which case it would be daylight robperrie.

Depends where the leak is coming from I suppose.  If it's a weld you can either find someone with a MIG to poke some fresh metal into it (bear in mind methanol fumes!) or use a two-part epoxy like Super Steel.  The latter won't last forever, really depends where it is vs what would happen if it let go.

I too have been helped by members, free topups while on holiday from Jules and tash, diegnostics from Julian and Nigel to name a few.
I also helped orange Vito with topups when down my way.

I just don't think that there is the interest anymore Knighty. Even if vod didn't have its problems there would hardly be any posts on there.

Look at Infopop with its 25000+ members, it hardly got a post before its last breath. Bobs attitude of letting a certain troll run riot on there didn't help.

As long as biopowered keeps going we will all be ok.
