Well, this is fun!

Sitting on a hospital bed having had my suction plumbing modifyed yesterday.  Now I know how my Leo felt when I changed it's pipe work to 28mm.

I phoned the ambulance at 10:00am and was out of the theatre by 12:00am.  100% full marks for the NHS.

Now, the following day, already feeling better than I have for years, but they won't let me go home till Satuday!  Getting really board!

Sorry to hear you're stuck in a hospital (they let you on the internet?!?) but glad you're grumpy enough to have survived the process - definitely hope for you yet!

Well im lost apart from the fact your in hospital,sounds like your in the maternity ward?

At my young and tender age, I'm afraid it's a heart attack!  BCBs at one of the suctions to the heart, which were reamed out and a stent put in place.  Got my doubts if even Jim could have done a better job!

Just been looking at the wiki page on stents, clever stuff.  Must be weird knowing you've got one fitted.  I'm surprised you didn't ask for spares to experiment with!

It hurts, but not always that badly ... it would seem that I'd had several before, but tended to ignore them.  This one hurt like hell and didn't go away, but it's still possible to make a call when you know it's serious.

Anyhow, under threat of discharging myself, if they didn't agree, I've managed to get them to discharge me this afternoon ... Result!!!

Did they have to do much chopping up to fit it or is it all done with cunning keyhole surgery?

It's groin hole surgery ... Had my pubes shaved by a pretty young nurse ... That's a first!

From there, it's a tunnelling job up to the heart.  All you feel is a handsome young surgeon fumbling about in your  crutch ... That's a first too!

I feel a bit queasy over the tunnelling part, but since I've suffered The Snip I think I can appreciate the rest (stare at the ceiling lights and think of England)!

Hmm, that's a good point.  I'll have to check the old Gentleman still works!

Only got daughters IPad with me so no access to my email, but I'll check it out tonight when I get back.

I've cold turkeyed fags for three days and I'm gagging ... Really going to enjoy the first one when I get out of here ... Then I'll give up.

The first three days are the hardest, it gets easier as time goes on.
Just don't do what I did, after giving up for 18 months I got hammered at a stag night the rest is history.

I Emailed you about borrowing the mixer next weeked, but will more than understand if it's not possable.

Next weekend should be ok, just don't expect me to do any really heavy lifting because I've been told to take things easy for a week or so ... Something I'll not have too much trouble with!

If necessary, I can draft in some aditional local labour.
