I have a van de graft generator in the shed. One of my physics starter lessons used to be to stand on a polystyrene block, charge myself up then point at a Bunsen the spark would light it and really impress the class. Especially if I charged up before they came in!

i did a job once which involved charging a beautiful woman with a van de graff she was on a stage and i was at the front of the stage crouched down operating the van de graff. she started with high heels but they just concentrated the charge on her heels. we changed to flat shoes after she almost jumped off the stage. i had to look up her legs for a whole 2 weeks. we got to know each other quite well.

the usual hair thing. the funny part was backstage while i was warming up the van de graff by running it for 1/2 hour before the show. i had it on a table near the side of the stage and zapped most of the crew as they walked pass, until they cottoned on gave it and me a wide berth. the model was some famous german athlete who went to be a glamour model so wasn't shy.
