What a bugga!
« on: July 27, 2018, 10:00:39 PM »
We had several terrific thunder storms here later today. One was accompanied by hailstones the size of 2p pieces with a few like golf balls.

22 of these had gone straight the bio roof (thin clear pvc sheets) I've taped them up for now and it seems to be waterproof at the moment. Will have to change the panels in the long term.

Checked the polytunnel and it's OK, they must have bounced off the polythene.

We got a little rain too, but being tough in t'South we survived.

May be replace them with steel panels.

Fortunately down here in the south our yachts are made of tough stuff, and the lambo was in the underground garage complex.

Seriously though, a bit of rain was nice to water the lawn and wash away some of the oil spillages :)

Sorry to hear about your panels, those lumps of hail must have been quite impressive.  Might be worth checking the roof tiles out as well...

I've been up on me boot since mid May suffering unbelievably hot dry weather and hearing about storms, heavy rain and flash floods. We did get the odd light shower yesterday though.
