The A/D Man came Today.
« on: January 16, 2017, 02:33:57 PM »
Since Trinity started to charge carraige on returned glycerol I have been looking for a local A/D plant to take it. The nearest one with a waste licence is Leeming Bar which I have been negotiating with since Aug last.

Well it finally happened this morning, they came and pumped out 2x IBC's. When the tanker left it was going to North Cave (Hull) to pick up about 25000 litres of liquid food waste.

Run generators from the gas that comes off whatever they put in the digester.

Nothing, they took the 2000 litres FOC. I did get the impression that if I had asked for a small payment they would have paid it. Still, just glad to see it gone.

Potassium gly is really beneficial for anaerobic digestion, something to do with the bacteria feasting on it.
So I'm not surprised they were happy to take it, especially this time of year (after Christmas) when waste food volumes increase dramatically.
