Just saw this on ebay, it is rated at a massive 1380 litres/min?

I very much doubt it, I have a Jabsco of a similar size on me boat that runs at 16 -1800rpm, if it pumps more than 50ltr/min I'll eat me 'at.

BTW the impeller is nitrile I believe, not a lot of good for bio and prolly wouldn't pump wvo.

An example of a typical impeller.

Thanks Jim, I didn't realise it had that sort of impeller.

I have a jabsco self priming pump that uses one of those, it's great for oil but as you say it wouldn't make a good process pump.

Summats wrong. It's plain as day what it says, but it can't be right.
The pumps on the back of water tankers are around that capacity. Used to pump out 20 000 litres in around 20 minutes. They are a whole lot bigger. Bigger pipework, like three or even four inch, and a 6.5 HP honda petrol engine, IIRC.

The plate says 1/min not l/min.
That's the motor speed (= RPM)

Just looking at it's size, you can tell it wouldn't fill an IBC in c. 40 seconds...

Jim, if you press and hold the CTRL button while moving the scroll wheel on the mouse you'll see things clearer.
