7mm, that might be a bit much for the mig, it's one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Clarke-Welder-240V1-100E-6010909-MIG100EMK2-/311546855246?hash=item4889a3bf4e:g:G2kAAOSwWTRWvqKB, about 25 years old.

Fabricated the tennis ball firing chamber today 6"x6" box section 6mm wall 8mm end plates clamped with
4x m16 studding nuts and washers.

The 3" hole for the barrel took some drilling the battery on the Dremel kept going flat.

Great work Oakwood (I still can't remember your name, shameful I know).

I have the barrel and gasket seal ready.

Jules, is your TIG welder man enough for welding the barrel to the chamber ?

Or ye' ol RCD tripper as it came to be known!  At least the MIGs and TIGs pretend to be a bit more subtle ;)

Sounds like you will have more charges that ammunition.   If the idea works as well as expected, and we don't fire all the shots, point blank at a Womble, retrieving the ammunition could be quite a task.

I'll donate another six rounds to the cause ...  it's worth two quid to excuse myself spending hours searching for balls!
