You sure you're not hitting links to the old forum?

Sod all wrong with VOD atm.

More than likely following out of date links to old forum structure.

Examples would be useful

I've got my most frequented sites as icons on desktop. Every so often, the VOD icon tells me the site is down, or offline for some other reason.
All I do is google VOD, go to the site, and copy the address into the link box of the icon.
It's only VOD that does this, out of 20 or so sites.
Took me a while to work it out, including posting up on here that VOD was down.

8 different Ebay and gumtree searches, a veg seed site. two news sites, 5 other forums a couple of 'blogs utube, and the weather, and few other things.
Porn takes too much bandwidth.

I find icons a lot handier than the favorites. I tend to stick random sites in favorites, that I might want to look at again for reference.

Just as an aside

New members to VOD who were on Moderation of posts may get the odd 'not available'
especially if a post of theirs was awaiting clearance.

If it's the old links a quick look to see if /mybbforum/ is not in the url should tell you.

Bet you haven't, but if you'd tried that alternative browser I mentioned a while back, you can leave pages open when you shut the PC down and they open up automatically on restart. So every thing you usually wan hanker after is immediatly available.  You can have loads of pages open.

Re band width ... would searching for "skinnier women" help?

Good thinking, I'll have to give it a go now, for research purposes only of course.
