I collect an oil that has a red colour, Italian restaurant it's paprika.
Could it be something similar, food colouring?

That is certainly possible Willbuild, however as the quality of oil I use is really lightly used rapeseed with 10 to 20% new soy blended in, it is unlikely. The 2 places the oil comes from are a pub and a farm shop cafe. Neither to my knowledge use any spices.
