« on: July 17, 2015, 11:41:30 PM »
Temp 60deg circulated at 350Ltr/min and 5hrs later still not dry??? Plenty of steam and water vapour but still not crystal clear. New processor and unsure of the finer details. Just shocked that bio still not dry after all this time!!! :(

That maybe what the pump is rated at but pumping bio/oil will be considerably less.

Bio Boy, even when you get your bio crystal clear it means very little, usually that it is less than 1000ppm. When you get it clear send me a sample and I will test it.

I dried a 200 litre batch yesterday with the turbo dryer. I only test every 3rd batch nowadays for refrence but I will guarantee it is <150ppm.

I've figured it out. As the aperture on the top of my processor is offset and only 8" in diameter the steam was not escaping efficiently condensing on the top of the processor and running back into the biodiesel. I have today fitted an extraction fan and ducting to draw off the steam from my processor. Only been running for 40mins and already a vast improvement.  :D
