I think someone needs to offer to take over the running of the forum for paddy

seams like he's not interested anymore anyway

everyone will leave and it'll die if it keeps going offline

That is what I am going to do when it comes back onlione. I don't mind forking out a few quid to keep it running. It may be hard for Paddy to seperate the forum as it was a part of his business...
For the sake of clarity, I don't want it as a money making thing and unless it costs lots of money to keep going I will fork out for the running of it and also get rid of all ads as I hate them.
But its up to Passy really, its his thing.

16th, 14th, 11th, it's getting earlier every month.  Whatever is using the bandwidth up is increasing.

It doesn't just affect the VOD forum either but the whole of Paddy's site.  Surely that's a bigger problem for him?

I don't think he runs his business from the site any more.
The online store has nothing for sale and the links for micro brewery and solar power don't work so I'm not sure of the sites purpose now other than maybe generating a small income from the ads?

It's highly likely some aspect of the hosting has been hacked and is used to serve images or other content to a botnet.  If that gets found and fixed it would be OK.  But it's not like a hosting provider to not detect this and suspend the site until it has been fixed.

Hi all,  it's redsailor here from the vod forum.   I log in to vod every day as the computer is on for other tasks and have been getting a little annoyed by the bandwidth issues.   It seems to have just about made 10 days this month before going down as it was ok this morning  the 11th.   Hopefully can keep up with all the news and events on here.

I think more folk will migrate here with all the shit that's happening next door. I'm not sure why it's taken some so long though??

I tried sending Paddy an email through the forum email option and haven't received anything back. Might try ringing the number on the website when it comes back up.
