I thought they had gone.
Maybe the name was taken over, but a few years ago, maybe more than a few, I'm not 25 anymore, the fella who owned that lot ran into problems, and closed most, if not all the stores.
I met him once, in the local store.
Dunno is it him who's running it now, or did he sell what was left.
Sounds like it ain't working out quite the way it was planned, again........

they went bust but were subject to a management buyout. they reopened as motor world T/A pacific retail.

then they sold out to maccess

now, out of 331 stores they have 33.....

at the moment

I'm afraid their style of shop has very much been made redundant by the internet. Just no place on the highstreet for it anymore.

i was one of their managers when internet shopping took off.

they would constantly undercut the shops by offering online stuff at stupidly low prices.

indash motorised 7" dvd players were £2000 in the shops, £1500 online.....

and that was their own online store, never mind china
