Saying Hi!
« on: March 23, 2015, 07:17:38 PM »
Hi Guys,
Just introducing myself before I start plaguing you all with questions!
I'm Simon, and come from telford. I've been running my 300tdi disco on svo mixed with diesel. I am fortunate ( ;D) enough to know Ged (GedsJeep) who has been steering me the right way towards setting up to filter wvo. He also pointed me towards this forum where I must say I'm hugely impressed with the wiki.

Currently in the process of converting the discovery to twin tank (again with Ged's nudges in the right direction), so will be running that on wvo, but my mrs had a focus tddi, which runs pretty nice on bio but wvo is a bit dodgy in it. I believe it's a vp30 pump, but anyway I digress. I will be looking into dipping my toes into making some Bio, once ive got on top of my filtration setup for my disco.

Anyone on here around telford?
Cheers

Thanks for the welcome guys,
Thus far, Ged has been quite polite and restrained about my Land rover ownership, although i guess there is time! He's been a great help with a few things so far, I am in his debt! hopefully I can start fabricating him some useful bits once I start getting an understanding of the drying methods etc and start paying his favours back.

worcester isnt too far from me no  8) if theres anything I can help with (pretty handy with machining and fabrication with access to equipment for both) gimme a shout

Ha! Opened the flood gates now lol.
Of course the "you drive a piece of shit" actually implies said piece of shit actually drives, which, of course, it doesn't. Currently sat on my drive after it decided that transfer box gears and a substantial chunk of transfer box casing were overrated and left them in a neat pile somewhere in the woods at coney green farm... I'm currently plucking up the motivation to replace it lol.

However, when it does run it still does more mpg than the audi managed at the weekend Ged, but I'm learning from my thieving neighbour's lesson and not gonna try it on one of the 2 remaining drums of petrol mixed with svo  :o his car also doesn't drive currently!
