New bio transfer pump 30lpm 12V submersible - with video

Hi all
After I managed to lose my old whale submersible pump that I used for refuelling from cubies, I had to get a new one.

I put some 19mm hose on it and swapped the crocodile clips for a cigarette lighter plug as below...



Then I gave it a go in a cubie of bio. I was really surprised at how quickly it pumps out, here is a video so you can judge for yourselves. A whole cubie in about 40 seconds or so.

The only issue or warning I would give to people who wish to consider buying this pump is the fact that it has a 50mm O/D in will not fit inside a standard 25lt container. Fine or a 20lt cube but not a conventional chemical 25.

Yes I use these for filling up my cars very quiet to think they are great for the money

That cracks on a bit!  Great price too, and with croc clips.  Shame if it won't fit 25l drums, as I exclusively use those (currently guerilla refuel, no leccy required).

...which is a 38mm version that does fit a 25lt container but the lpm is down comapared to the 50mm version.

I only ever use cubies for refuelling on the principle that, once, empty, I can squash them and throw them in the nearest bin, freeing up the room in the car
In the case of France trips, I would far rather use that space for hauling boxes of wine back than empty fuel containers.

I collect from a family who run three fish and chip vans (all on liquid oil). They have a big stack of clean cubies that have nothing but the dregs of brand new oil in them since the batter absorbs oil and they never get as much waste out as the new oil they put in.
These make ideal containers to transport bio in

Hmm.  I do the same with 25l drums but I guess that's less environmentally friendly (tossing them into bins abroad when you're done, that is).  I've seen cubies split and leak, I really wouldn't fancy transporting bio in them.

that was my thought, but, when you consider it further, the cubies that leak are, in my experience, the ones that have been kicked about, left in the sun, left in the cold, etc. etc.

i reckon new ones are probably fairly leak free, even without the cardboard box.
