I bypassed the sedimenter on one of my discoveries after it became porous and started letting air into the fuel system. I did another 60,000 miles in that car without any fuel problems before selling it.
My thinking at the time was that why is it needed on a Discovery but not fitted on a Defender with the same engine/fuel system?
