I am looking for interest in my 18v Dewalt XRP kit. (this is the Heavy duty kit and not the cheaper plastic versions) It comes with two batteries 2.0AH LITHIUM ION one is less than 2 months old, the 2nd is 12 months old. It also comes with two battery chargers, I purchased this kit brand new and it has always been looked after really well/serviced. I am in no rush to sell this but i am considering upgrading. I am not interested in breaking the set AT ALL so please dont ask.

I'm guessing that none of those will be less than £100 new. The lesser version of the drill is £100, minimum. That's what I paid for mine.

All that lot, new could be over £1200?

Looks as though, if he's that well kitted up, then some of the stuff could have been worked hard, but that doesn't matter too much, it's quality kit, and looks to have been well looked after.

Taking into account that there is presumably no guarantee on it, I'd say.....

......Work out new price, and offer a shade over half, for starters, going no more than three quarters. Not worth three quarters of new, IMO.
A bit less than three quarters, max.

If they are the top notch kit, I'd say, pretty good. At least the jigsaw should be. Circular saws do seem to take a lot of power to drive them, even 240v ones struggle sometimes, but then I'm pretty ham fisted with the things.
Any feed back on them on screwfix?

Do you know the person selling the kit? Are they in your neck of the woods?

The price is good but I won't make it up that way till next weekend as I am busy this coming one. If you knew them I could have sent them a deposit and collected it then.

Dunno which one it is, top one has good reviews.

They are not the same, the above are the new xr range with slide on batteries, the ones RM is on about are the XRP range that have the push in batteries. New ones are shite, made in China, older ones are made in Germany. I had a new set of dewalts and they didn't last 2 weeks, on the combi the hammer action is not working any more and the impact driver, the bit holder is no longer concentric, its spinning out of true and messes up the screws you are trying to drive in.

Don't waste your money on new dewalt, or bosch. If you want decent kit look at Milwaukee or Hilti.

Its why people like me still want the older stuff.

It's a job to judge really. Why would a carpenter want an impact driver, or a mechanic want a reciprocating saw? Is the guard missing off the Angle grinder, or is that a polishing tool?
Strikes me a little bit as though it may the kit of some one like a mobile home or camper van builder, in which case, they may have done a lot of work, and never really got dirty.
Just seems an odd assortment.

Got ya. Cheers for the heads up. Milwaukee is some serious kit. Not struck on Hilti myself.
