Dpf light

My partner has a vw polo gti 2004 has done 1000 miles on b50 then another 1000 on b100.
The dpf light came on the other day. so do i drive at 40 mph at high revs with a/c on and do i add 50% dino or wait till bio is used up and put some dino in?

I'd be inclined to try and find out exactly how the DPF regenerates, and take your decision from there.
It sounds like a car that size could take a while to use a tank ful.
Maybe siphon it out, and stick some dino in?

checked on vw site and it says drive for 15 to 20 mins at 2000 to 2500revs.
has about 12 ltrs of bio in it.

I'd rag the nuts off it for about 1/2 an hour and see what happens.

Then I'd resort to Dino.

Tried 20 mins on m4 with no luck, then 30 mins on drive at 2500rpm no luck. I could tell that it was doing the regen as the fans were on and you could smell it burning off.
Took to my mechanic pluged it into dianostic and it showed fault on glow plug number 4. He's reset it and it's  now fine.

If you had the aircon on that would be why the fans were running, good news that resetting the fault code has solved the problem however what about the injector number 4 fault ? has that been sorted or is it likely to show up again ?

it was glow plug number 4, phew, so if it happens again will order a new set.
Think i read a thread on here ages ago about some users having problems with glow plugs on bio, but i could be wrong.
