Oil drying tank

At the moment it takes me two days to make bio as I have to dry my and make bio in the Same processor.

I want to make a drying tank that is vented to the outside.

I will use a tam pump to circulate the oil.

Would a Venturi work, I'm think the air stirring it up will release the steam moisture?

If you are only drying oil prior to processing, then no real need to vent to outside, just let the water evaporate off as steam/vapour.

Probably increasing the surface area is the easiest way to dewater ... search "inverted Uri " on the wiki.

Rossey...venturis work really well when it comes to drying oil. The amount of air that gets pulled in releases loads of moisture when it escapes. It's revolutionised my drying methods.

Venturi drying then glyc washing is my method of choice these days for drying oil.

I used to do that method, the ladle method is mine.

But I'm sick of smelling like a chip pan.

Anyone got an immersion tank kicking around?

I know that Richardp dries using the same method. The only difference between his process and mine is he vents via a vent tube....me, I remove the top of the reactor. Both methods work.

Get a 205 clip top drum, put an immersion heater in it, rig up a pump with venturi, a bottom outlet and a vent to outside. If you want you can also use a diffuser.
I just dry in my processor and go straight into processing, drying in a separate tank wouldn't save me any time, not that I've got room for another tank.
