Electrical micro switch question
« on: January 02, 2014, 05:45:57 PM »
The main on/off switch on Mahli's laptop has broken, we've taken it apart and got the circuit board where the switch was fitted and can start the laptop touching a piece of wire across the two solder tracks where the switch used to be.

I want to get another switch and solder it in, I've found these on fleabay but I don't know if they are the correct push down to make contact and spring back once let go switches like I need, or if they are the click on and off type like a light switch, anyone know?

I've tried ringing the seller but it just keeps ringing.

They look like the business, single pole single throw.  Like your bit of wire they only connect the pins when depressed, and when released pop up and go open circuit again.

Thanks amigo, I thought they were the right ones but wasn't 100% sure so thought it best to ask.
