It's odd the way things happen.
Boxing day, a couple of hours before my parents come for 'Christmas' dinner, my boiler trips out with a crudded up blast tube (thankfully easily fixed but could have done without having to change into dirty work clothes then back into nice stuff again)
Tomorrow we are off to Warminster for three days so, with impeccable timing, biodiesel starts dripping from the engine and front axle of the RangeRover.
A few bad case thoughts went through my mind but then I noticed that the block and head were wet above the injector pump as well as below it and only at the front of the engine.
A quick unbolting of all the plastic covers found that the rubber leak off pipes on number1 injectior were leaking like sieves, the depression in the head around the injector was full of bio and a nice little trickle was making it's way down the block.
The engine is now fitted with nice bright yellow nylon air pipe instead of the rubber stuff and no more leaks
