Thanks chug,
No I can not get past the error screen

Error 503 : Service Temporarily Unavailable

I get this on all machines. I can, however, get into the base site

http://www.vegetableoildiesel.co.uk

The error comes in at

http://www.vegetableoildiesel.co.uk/forum/index.php

At a loss what to do.

Fuzznag has just registered ok, and I got the reg page up ok so registration is working that end,

can you try from a different location, a neighbour with different ISP? to ascertain if it's a problem specific to you or your ISP?

can you get it with link
http://www.vegetableoildiesel.co.uk/forum/member.php?action=reg

EDIT: Dick is there anything on the 503 error to indicate it's from vod forum software?

mod consensus is it's most likely Zblock,

as bass addict said, it never seems like Paddy knows exactly how this thing works though!?! Or how to unblock IP ranges etc.

Neither of those links work for me just get the 503 error.
Will try on someone else's system but it will work or are least get me to guest on the site which I can't do on my machines.
Googling the error seems to indicate it is forum end which is also indicated by the fact that I can get into paddy a base site.
I will try a proxy server later and see if that helps.
All ideas great fully received.
Thanks for the help.

Yes it seems to be blocking you with forum software, only paddy can sort it nobody else has access to the orum software files.
i'll send Paddy's mobile number to you Dick via PM and you'll have to hassle him to pull his finger out.

mybb is a huge step forward, lots of extensions/plugins - long overdue!

Is there a conversion tool for the database/users?
