New additionto tips and wrinkles
« on: October 26, 2013, 04:21:57 PM »
Just added this to tips and wrinkles 2 ...

http://www.biopowered.co.uk/wiki/Tips_and_wrinkles_2#Mini_sock_filter_to_prevent_sediment_agitation

It seems to work very well ... not one of my normal heroic failures!

I did watch that, but it's not where the idea came from ... I've been using a full size sock filter for the purpose since I first started making bio.

I've got three on my system now.  One from the processor to the settling tank, on from the drywash tower to the second settling tank and one where my PLUG enters the final storage tank.

Anyhow, I hope the idea is of use to a few people.

Nice idea - I have to leave a couple of days after pumping for sediment (in winter mostly - HMPEs/monoglyc) to settle, this might speed things up!

Go for it, they're so (sew) easy to make ... that said me and sewing machines don't seem to get along.  Whilst I love all things mechanical and have great respect for sewing machines, they never seen to function as intended for me ... probably down to operator error or marrying someone who hates sewing with a passion!
