yanmar l100 chinese clone.

anyone stripped one of these down? have been running it on veg with 25% RUG for a while now. put some dirty fuel in by mistake. fitted a new pump. did the timing. now it wont start. ground in the valves deglazed the bore. still no compression to speak of. suspect gummed rings.  had a read of the manual. seems straightforward, but if anyone has pulled one of these apart it always helps to know about any problems you may have come across. it is sitting in a friends well equiped workshop at the moment till he kicks me and the engine out because he needs the space.
