Single line PID controllers - boot to show PV or SV?

Im thinking of getting a single line PID controller, as i only want to see the measured value (PV).

Ill have to look at the set value for setup, but ill never need to change this again, so id rather keep the unit small.


Do they boot to show Set value, or the current temperature (PV)?


Irritatingly some far east sellers say that the unit im looking at runs from 12v dc, and some say a range of values.  I want it to run from 240v ac, but im fearful of buying from a cheaper seller who only specifies 12v DC.



In case anyone is interested, this is to measure flue gas temp on our solid fuel rayburn.  I need it to be a thermostat, rather than a thermometer, as it needs to turn on a pump when the oven is lit, but i only want one line of display for cosmetic reasons.

I also dont want the unit to pulse (just turn on and off) but im pretty sure they can all be configured not to pulse?

I use an N2006P PID, it only displays the current temp and is 240V.
For switching the pump on and off you could use the over temp relay function (from memory it can be set with a wide range between on or off).

Although looking at the picture I'm not sure if it does only show one value,
maybe over time I just don't notice that there's two,

Those n2006p units are odd - different ebay sellers, with otherwise the same description, some listing them as 12v dc, and others listing them as universal.

I have one of the dual readout ones on my reactor - same design (ie same button print etc) and i prefer that to the Rex c100 unit that my friend has.

Mine has also taken loads of abuse (dripping with oil / sprayed with water etc) and, whilst its gone crazy, when it dries out, its fine again! : )

I know the last one was silly money, I hoped you may have a better screen than me and would be able to read the model number from the photo.

I've just checked the PDF I have form the N2006P and it states the voltage as AC 36-260V/DC 36-360V« 3W),
I could try and email you the files if you want.
