A lot of those seem to be 2 litre packs so not really that cheap
GSF is cheaper for VW spec oil at the mo

4l of 10w40 for £10 is a very good price these days.

When did engine oil get so expensive?

I recall that, when we were in france, it seemed a lot cheaper.

There's probably some sort of taxation?

I bought this in a 25 litre drum:

I get dexos2 from vauxhalls for a tad over a tenner for five litres.
